Lynn, the U.S. Army Signal Center of Excellence and Fort Gordon commander; Brig. Gen. LaWarren Patterson, the 7th Signal Command (Theater) commander; and Col. Christopher Castle, Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center commander, jointly hosted the event.

Community leaders and the Fort Gordon civilians, warrant officers, enlisted servicemembers, officers and their spouses came together to not only celebrate the New Year, but to strengthen community ties and forge a stronger alliance between them.

Later, Lynn and Patterson joined the U.S. Army Signal Corps Band on the drums to the surprise of everyone with their musical talents. The culmination of the semi-formal event was reached when Lynn shared his vision for the post. “I am working to make Fort Gordon the Cyber Center of Excellence,” said Lynn.
