To better serve the female beneficiaries of Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center’s Obstetrics and Gynecology clinic, a new system of scheduling an urgent same day appointments will go into effect Sunday. Beginning on the first, any patient needing an urgent OB/GYN appointment will need to call the medical center’s central appointment line at 787-7300 for an appointment. Patients calling the appointment line in the morning will be scheduled an afternoon appointment the same day. Patients calling in the afternoon with an urgent medical need will be scheduled an appointment the morning of the next day.

“We need our patients to understand that these appointments are for their urgent care needs, not routine care, said Lt.Col. Renee Thai, chief of the OB/GYN clinic. If patients feel their condition is an emergency, they need to call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department immediately.”

According to Thai, after Saturday walk-in appointments will no longer be available in the clinic.
