The Colors of Jazz series at the Augusta Jewish Community Center continues Thursday with the sounds of Rob Foster.

“The majority of his music is mainstream classic - Thelonious Monk and John Coltrane. He may be doing some of his original works as well,” said Karen Gordon, coordinator of the jazz series.

Gordon and her band, Garden City Jazz, opened the series last month.

Gordon coordinates the Candlelight Jazz at Riverwalk concert series which is held weekly from May through August in downtown Augusta.

She said she received many requests over the years for jazz concerts in Columbia County.

“I have wanted to have a presence in Columbia County for a while,” she said.

The final concert in the series will be with Gerry Eisenberg on May 13.

The concert begins at 7:30, and tickets are $10 each. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the community center’s summer camp programs.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 on the days of the tour. The tour will be Saturday, April 17 and, Sunday, April 18.

Tickets are available at the Fox’s Lair, Sweitzer Glass,
