Retired Lt. Col. Alfonzo Jackson was incorrectly identified as one of the original Tuskegee Airmen who participated in air crew, ground crew and operations support training in the Army Air Corps during World War II in a photo appearing on page 12 of the March 5 issue of The Signal newspaper. Jackson is an honorary member of the Tuskegee Airmen Inc., and was one of the guest speakers at the Regimental Noncommissioned Officer Academy’s African American History Month Celebration held Feb. 19 at the Gordon Club.
