Girl Scouts from Troops 23347 and 27315 representing troops from around Alpharetta delivered more than 400 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to Soldiers at Fort Gordon in Augusta on March 12. The girls ranging in age from 9-14 were treated to a tour of the Signal Corps Museum and were honored with certificates of appreciation from the United States Army Warrior Transition Battalion, commanded by Lt. Col Edwin Larkin, and presented to them by Command Sergeant Major Michael J. Gallucci and First Sergeant Norman L. Fountain from Alpha Company.

The cookies were sold during the Girl Scout annual cookie sales to be contributed to Soldiers stationed at Fort Gordon and those hospitalized at the Eisenhower Army Medical Center located on post. Cookies, warm wishes and smiles all around were the order of the day.
