Ironman Competition
Fort Gordon’s Ironman Competition is scheduled 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 27 and 28 at the Tactical Advantage Sportsman’s Complex. Participants can compete either Saturday or Sunday, but not both days. The event will include one round of sporting clay shooting and two rounds of skeet as well as two rounds of trap shooting.
The competition is open to the public. Entry fee is $28. Youngsters can shoot if they have adult supervision. Pre-registration is recommended.

Pheasant Hunt
An adult pheasant hunt is being sponsored by the Fort Gordon Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation March 13 at Training Area 23. It kicks off at 8 a.m. Cost is $60 for Tactical Advantage Sportsman’s Complex members; $120 for non-members. Preregistration is required.

Golf Clinic
The Walton Foundation for Independence is hosting an adaptive golf clinic 10 a.m.-noon March 9 at The First Tee of Augusta, located at 3165 Damascus Road. The clinic is scheduled to meet every second Tuesday of the month and will provide people age 15 and older who have acquired disabilities (brain injuries, stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation and blindness) with the opportunity to play golf using adaptive equipment. Fitness for 2010
Gymdog Fitness is back at the Gordon Fitness Center, Building 29607, on Barnes Avenue. Twentyfive group fitness classes led by knowledgeable, talented, and fun instructors are being offered each week with all equipment being provided. Cost is $5 for single group fitness or cycling class or $35 for unlimited 30 day pass, special “Stay in Shape” rate. Class passes can be purchased in the Gymdog office at the Gordon Fitness Center or online at www.gymdogfitness. com.

The U.S. Army Child, Youth and School Services at Fort Gordon needs coaches for team sports and individual sports.
