The National Defense Authorization Act of 2008 mandates standardized classroom training for all Casualty Notification Officers and Casualty Assistance Officers. Standardized classroom training for CNO and CAO training for 2010 is scheduled for the following dates: March 4- 5, April 8-9, May 6-7, June 10-11. All training is planned to be in Darling Hall, Room 229B. The Army’s standard is mandatory training for the target population: SFC and above, CW2 and above, and officers in the rank of 1LT with six years active duty or more.
