Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission in partnership with the local Time Warner Cable is sponsoring “Holiday Lights on the River,” from 6 to 10 p.m. through Dec. 31 at Saluda Shoals Park in Columbia, S.C. The park comes alive each night in a blaze of more than a million sparkling lights.The drive through light extravaganza features more than 400 brilliant, animated light displays on a two-mile loop of the park.

Nights of Wonder at Holiday Lights which will be held in the park through Dec. 23 features seven fun-filled nights of family activities to include: horse-drawn carriage rides, bay rides, train rides and the new Winter Wonder Ride, roasting marshmellows, crafts and a visit plus photo with Santa Claus. Cost is $10 per car, $20 for passenger vans and $35 for buses. Nominal fees for crafts and activities also apply.
