The America’s Adopt a Soldier organization is encouraging everyone to send a care package to deployed service members this holiday. There are about 170,000 U.S. military members who will be away from home and family members serving in Iraq or Afganistan. Postage costs $10.35 for one package and contents $20. National Packing Day is Dec. 19.
