Trifecta Tourney draws 110 golfers to Fort Gordon

The Gordon Lakes Golf Courses Annual Trifecta drew 110 players to the post.Two-man teams played all 27–holes of golf.All three golf courses, Lake, Pine and Island were used for the tournament.
The event brought out Dennis Trudeau, former mayor of Grovetown, and Roy Poellnitz, Gordon Lakes 1999 and 2000 Senior Champion. Also playing was Bill Fumai, a Professional Golf Association pro and Gordon Lakes Golf Courses manager.
In the first flight, teams Steve Moody and Joe Shiver played first place; Zak Lawless and Steve Kubic earned second place and Tom Ellis and Steve Gillespie took third place.
In the second flight, teams Tim Salyer and Jim Willis placed first; Bob Price and Clyde Bullfinch earned second place and Roy Poellinitz and Charles Murphy took third place.
In the third flight, teams Bill Vicain and JJ Johnson placed first; Tim Pillarelli and Tom Hill took second place and Frank Dursheimer and Bob Morris earned third place.
In the fourth flight, teams Shaun Snyder and Clarence Brooks earned first place, Gene Frazier and John Edwards placed second and Frederick Fuller and George Butler took third place.
Joshua Johnson earned a $20 Gordon Lakes Golf Courses Pro Shop gift certificate for closest to the pin by one foot for the men. James Buchanan won it for the senior/women category by nine feet two half inches.
Steve Kubik won the Longest Drive for men and John Vigna won Longest Drive for the senior/women category. Both won a $20 Gordon Lakes Golf Courses Pro Shop gift certificate.
First place winners received a $60 pro shop gift certificate, second place a $40 gift certificate and third place took a $30 pro shop gift certificate home.
