Need an I.D. card? Make an appointment
The Fort Gordon I.D. Card Facility transitioned to an appointment only system starting Nov. 1. The facility is located in Room 161 of Darling Hall.
Warriors in Transition Soldiers and their family members and spouses of survivors, who are accompanied by their Casualty Assistance Officers, will continue to receive priority service. Emergencies will be processed on a case-by-case basis.

U-DO-IT Store Closure
The U-DO-IT Store will be closed for customer service on Nov. 18 from 7:30 a.m. to noon. During these hours of closure, if an emergency requirement exists, call (706) 791-8505.
Medal Of Honor
Fort Gordon is hosting the Medal of Honor Event with MOH Recipient retired Col. Jack Jacobs as the guest speaker. The event is Nov. 13 in Alexander Hall, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Gift Wrapping
The Fort Gordon Service Club will provide holiday gift wrapping at the PX from Dec. 1-24. Wrapping will be available during the the PX’s operating hours. Several days will be set aside for other organizations to wrap. If you would like to be considered for one of these days as a fundraiser, please call Joanie Bryant at (706) 863- 2931 no later than Nov.15.
Civilian Health Fair
Open Season for Federal Health Insurance is Nov. 9 - Dec. 14. The Health Fair will be held Dec.1from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. at Darling Hall, Room 229 A and from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the DDEAMC, 4th floor entry.

Gate 5 Construction to start
Security upgrade construction will start Nov. 17 at Gate 5, off Tobacco Road. The gate will remain open, but traffic will be inbound only from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, and two-way after 8:30 a.m. The traffic flow will be two-way on weekends.
Motorists are urged to slow down and exercise caution in the construction zone. There is a school zone nearby, as soon as drivers leave the gate area and enter Fort Gordon.
Traffic flow will be twoway on holiday weekends— Nov. 25-27 and Dec. 21-Jan.1. Estimated completion date is March, 2010. For information, call (706) 791-4380.
