Toys for Tots Run
The Augusta Marines and the Toys for Tots are hosting the Annual Toys For Tots 5K Run/Walk 8 a.m. Nov. 6 at Fort Gordon. Formation runners [minimum of 10 runners] must complete with all members in the formation. There will be prizes awarded to top three male, top three female and top three formation overall winners.Toy donation boxes will be on site. Refreshments will be provided. All proceeds benefit the Augusta Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaign.

Christmas House Golf Event
Gordon Lakes Golf Courses is hosting a golfing event to raise money for Fort Gordon Christmas House Nov. 6. Shotgun start is at noon. These are 4 person teams. Cost is $60 a player which includes range token and a sack lunch. Prizes will be awarded to first and second place teams, Longest Drive and Closest to Pin. There will also be giveaways.

Nature Trail
Fort Gordon offers a unique setting for all to enjoy at its wildlife viewing blind and nature trail in Training Area 34 on Rowe Lane. Experience nature at its best; you may encounter river otters, beavers, raccoons, wood ducks, whitetail deers and eastern wild turkeys.The site is ideal for family outings.
Directions: From Gate 5 on Avenue of the States, drive approximately .75 mile to North Range Road and turn left. Continue on North Range Road 1.5 miles, past Olive Terrance and Training Area 10 and 11 to Range Road.Turn left on Range Road and continue 3.25 miles, past Gordon Lakes Golf course to McDufflie Road (left fork in road). Continue on McDufflie Road past the Game Warden and Fish and Wildlife to Union Mill Pond and Jones Chapel Road (5.25 miles). Turn right on Jones Chapel, continue to Rowe Lane (about 200 meters) and turn right. The nature trail and observation tower/viewing blind are on the right next to Beaver Pond (about 350 meters).
The nature trail and viewing blind are handicapped accessible and open to the public.
