James Kennedy, who is assigned to Headquarters and Company A, 73rd Ordnance Battalion, during their bake sale and yard sign sale held Oct. 5 in front of the PXTRA. They were raising money for their military ball which was held Oct. 17 during the Young Marines’ 50th Anniversary at the Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Center located at 2869 Central Avenue in Augusta. The Young Marines is a youth education and service program for boys and girls, age 8 through completion of high school. The organization promotes the mental, moral and physical development of its members and focuses on character building, leadership and promotes a drug-free lifestyle.
