Pictured left to right: Shannon Houseman, Tawnya Williams, Sgt. 1st Class William Grossman, Ms. Beverly Coe, Jennifer Brooks, Mattie Berry, and Lisa Simmons The Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center has a running Family Readiness Group thanks to our remarkable Family Readiness Support Assistant, Mattie Berry. Berry single-handedly ran the FRG for many months and has recruited military spouses to actively get involved. The FRG appreciates support from the Eisenhower Command for always being willing to lend a hand.

Several FRG positions are now filled with wonderful volunteers such as Tanya Williams, FRG Leader, Shannon Houseman, Co-Leader, Mrs. Jennifer Brooks, FRG Advisor, Beverly Coe, Treasurer, Lisa Simmons, Secretary, Crystal Kicklighter, Key Caller, Sgt. 1st Class William Grossman, Family Care Team, and Sgt. 1st Class Ramona Grossman, Family Care Team.

Eisenhower’s FRG has to work differently than many other units because we have Soldiers working different shifts and students that come and go through training over several months. Also, Eisenhower deploys many Soldiers as augmentees to other units across the world for many different jobs. We overcome many challenges in order to reach our Soldiers and Family members.

For those Eisenhower Families whose spouses are deployed, remember that the FRG is here to assist with any issues or concerns you might have. We are sincerely committed to each and every one of you. The Eisenhower FRG is dedicated to providing information and assistance.

There are many activities planned through the end of the year:

•Oct. 3 Boy Scout fundraiser •Oct. 28

Best Costume Contest

(winners from several age groups; donated candy is requested for this event)

•Oct. 16

Eisenhower Orginization Day

•Nov. 18 Thanksgiving Potluck

•Dec. 12

Breakfast with Santa (for the children)

These are just some of the many great events the Eisenhower FRG has planned within the organization, so go out and support your FRG.
