The 551st Signal Battalion is hosting a Brigade Civilian Professional Development event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Oct. 22 at the Forward Operating Base Dunham. The program is open to Fort Gordon government employees and civilian contractors. Come experience “A Day in the Life” of a Soldier. There will be training in weapon handling, first aid, and firing at the reflexive fire range and the Engagement Skills Trainer 2000. There will also be pole climbing which is what Soldiers in the 25L Cable Systems Installer- Maintainer career field do in their job.

Lunch will be a military, Meals-Ready-to-Eat.The program is limited to the first five civilian attendees per battalion. RSVP to your battalion S3, operations noncommisioned officer in charge, by Oct. 15.
