Fort Gordon will observe Hispanic Heritage Month with a command program Oct. 7. This year’s theme is “Embracing the Fierce Urgency of Now!” Festivities will begin at 12:30 p.m. with demonstrations and food sampling outside of Alexander Hall. At 1:30 p.m. in Alexander Hall, Marie Arana, author, Kluge Scholar and writer at large for the Washington Post, will speak.
