Alternate Commissary hours

The Fort Gordon Commissary will close two hours early Aug. 30 in order to finish its renovation. A crew of over 60 will perform the work to dismantle, stack, band and recycle the old shelving. The floor will be thoroughly cleaned and all brand new shelves will be installed. Merchandising specialists will place shelf labels and product in their new locations and the crew will stock the shelves. The store will be closed Sept. 1 as the improvements are completed.

The commissary will reopen Sept. 3 There will be managers and associates on the sales floor to help customers find merchandise. This is the last task in the $5 million store upgrade project. The commissary will have new, more energy efficient air conditioning, flooring, restrooms, produce, meat, dairy and frozen sections, food cases and lighting.
