Soldier Show coming
The U.S. Army Soldier Show will make its annual stop at Fort Gordon's Alexander Hall at 8 p.m., June 27, and 6 p.m., June 28.
"We are always excited to host the U.S. Army Soldier Show at Fort Gordon. It's an absolutely incredible production," said Steve Walpert, Fort Gordon's entertainment director.
The 90-minute show provides non-stop entertainment as Soldiers sing and dance through various genres of music including country, rhythm and blues and patriotic tunes. Some years, Soldiers have a different type of talent, which is showcased in the production. Staff Sgt. Toure Clark, who lives in the Augusta area and has been part of a group called the Jamskaters which mentors children, will use his unique talents during the show as well.
The Soldier Show is popular with people who live in the Augusta area.
"It's always a packed house," he said. "We recommend people arriving at least an hour ahead of time to get good seats."
