Learn about some of the local Native American Indians' prehistory during Family Fun Day at the Augusta Museum of History Saturday. Located about eight miles from Augusta upstream on the Savannah River, Stallings Island, a 16-acre island named for the Stallings Culture, was a major settlement of Native American Indians about 4,500 to 5,000 years ago.

The Family Fun Day will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the museum on Reynolds Street in downtown Augusta. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Stallings Island through artifacts, and there will be crafts related to the topics.

Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors, $2 for children and free for children under age 5.

Explore showpiece gardens in Aiken on Saturday as part of the CSRA Hydrangea Society Garden Tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Four Aiken gardens, including one which was featured in Southern Living Magazine, will be part of the tour. The Augusta Symphony's Pops Under the Stars Concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at University Health Care's Evans Complex on North Belair Road. The event is free.

The Morris Museum of Art and the Imperial Theatre's Southern Soul and Song series continues with Rocker Junior Brown and the up-and-coming Belleville Outfit with their special brand of Texas honky-tonk music, May 8. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $12.50.
