The Fort Gordon Fitness Center, Building 21713, located on Barnes Avenue, is hosting GYMDOG Fitness Super Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 9. For $5 you will be given an opportunity participate in these exercise classes: cycling, power step, cardio kickboxing, muscle max, zumba, yogafit and belly dancing. You can participate in all of the classes or just as many as you like. Normally, each class would cost $3. Bagels, fruit and water will be available.
No registration is required. Bring a large bath towel which is required to workout at the Fort Gordon Fitness Center.

OPEN AIR MARKET
Come peruse and procure a variety of goods offered by the local vendors who participate in North Augusta's own outdoor market. The market is open from 4 p.m. to dusk every Friday at the Brick Yard Market at Hammond's Ferry, 450 Railroad Avenue in North Augusta, S.C. There will be fresh produce, desserts and breads, pottery demonstrations, rare herbs, homemade ironwork and much more.

DANCING
The Christian Social Organization for Single Adults sponsors dances from 7 to 11 p.m. every Saturday night at the Ballroom Dance Center, 625 Grand Slam Drive, Evans, Ga. Admission includes dance lessons and refreshments. Cost for members is $6 and guests, $8.

OPERATION AUGUSTA CARES
The Family Y on Wheeler Road, the Quest Church and the Aldersgate United Methodist Church are jointly sponsoring "Operation Augusta Cares: A Fun Day For Families of Deployed Service members" from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 9 at the Family Y Water Park on Wheeler Road in Augusta. This event is free to Families of deployed Soldiers. Come and have fun, eat food and have a good time with other Families of deployed Soldiers.

FREE CONCERT
Donald Portnoy performs for the last time during the Augusta Symphony's "Pop! Under the Stars concert program "6:30 p.m. May 9 at the University Health's Evans campus, 447 N. Belair Road in Evans, Ga. This is a free open air concert; bring chair or blanket and enjoys some good music with friends and Family members. In event of rain, the concert will be held at West Acres Baptist Church, 555 Gibbs Road in Evans, Ga.

MOVIES IN THE COMMON
"Movies in the Common" is an event sponsored by the City of Augusta Special Events. It features newly released movies that the whole Family can enjoy. The film, "Madagasca" will be shown 9 p.m. May 8 at the Augusta Common, 836 Reynolds Street in downtown Augusta. Admission is $2.
