After much preparation, the Second Annual Latino Fest was held May 1 through 3, on Barton Field. The event was sponsored by several Augusta businesses including Coca Cola, Fort Gordon Federal Credit Union, Budweiser, and Herbert Homes, Inc.

The three-day event boasted several activities for the whole Family, including a car, truck and bike show. The KidsZone provided the younger visitors with several games and rides to enjoy. Meanwhile, the adults could peruse the flea market, enjoy live music performed by the Latin Urban Orquestra and even dance the weekend away to some smooth Salsa beats.

In case anyone got hungry (an obvious occurrence given all the activities available) food was provided courtesy of restaurants Veracruz and Vallarta's, and vendor Dipping Dots ice cream for those with a sweet tooth.

People from all walks of life and age groups, including Soldiers, civilians and veterans, came out to enjoy the festival guaranteeing its success, and ensuring the attendees are already looking forward to next year.
