Petty Officer 3rd Class Silas Washington Petty Officer 3rd Class Silas Washington is a native of Chicago, Ill. Washington graduated from Thornwood High School in 2006. He enlisted in the United States Navy in May 2006 in Chicago.

After successful completion of recruit training at Great Lakes, Ill., Washington attended Cryptologic Technician Technical "A" school in Naval Technical Training Center Corry Station, Pensacola, Fla. Upon completion of entry level electronic intelligence and AN/USQ- 139 Cluster Snoop Course, he reported to NAVIOCOM Fort Gordon, Ga. for his first duty station.

Upon reporting to NAVIOCOM-Georgia, Washington has deployed on one Atlantic Fleet Combatant for a total of 128 days. During that time Washington qualified for electronic support measures basic operator and numerous equipment suites.
