The Augusta Mini Theatre will present The Johnny Williams Story, a salute to the work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for three consecutive weekends beginning this weekend.

Written by Tyrone Butler, the founder of the Augusta Mini Theatre, The Johnny Williams Story is about a boy who is told all of his life that he's no good and grows up believing it. His life begins to turn around after he squeaks into college and has one person who believes in him.

The show will be performed at 8 p.m. today and 3 and 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Augusta Mini Theatre Community Arts and Life Skills School, 2546 Deans Bridge Rd.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and $10 per youth for youth groups of 10 or more.

The Keowee Chamber Players will be in concert as part of the Augusta Symphony's Columbia County Music Series at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center.

The musical group hails from the mountains of North Carolina.

Also Saturday, there will be a digital photography class at Phinizy Swamp Nature Park.

Using the flora and fauna of the swamp as a backdrop, Ed Belinski will give pointers on getting the best nature shots.

On Sunday, the focus at the Morris Museum of Art is reading.

Sen. Ed Tarver will be among those people reading stories at the museum as part of the museum's monthly Artrageous program beginning at 2 p.m.
