Wildlife education center fall festival
Graystone Ranch Wildlife Education Center will host its annual Fall Festival Nov.14-16.
Throughout the weekend, there will be lots of exciting activities and games from, animal exhibits, petting zoo, 500 acres of nature trails, beach, hay rides, horse painting, pin the tail on a "real" donkey, cake walk, pie eating contest, horseshoe toss, sack races, sunflower seed spittin', sweet tater rollin' turkey in the straw, apple bobbin', pony rides, pig chasen' and the infamous pig kissin' booth.
In addition, the entertainment line up for this three day fest will include over ten different bands, cloggers, square dancers, contemporary dancers, ballroom dancers, martial arts demonstrations, weapon demonstrations, dog shows, and a turkey shoot.
There will also be motorcycle, truck, and car shows which the entire public may enter. The festival kicks off at 5 p.m. Nov. 14 with a DJ party and Bruce Rose and the Delta- Niners a southern rock/country band. On the evening of Nov. 15 there is a sunset dance with Eddie Miles and the James Heath Band featuring Woody Dixon and Bo Gardner "the One Man Band". Children get in free per paying adult which is $10.00 or a weekend wristband is $15.00 and camping is available.
Graystone Ranch is home of the largest hourly raffle in the CSRA with a $5,000 bounty. All proceeds go to benefit animal rescue and conservation. Located 7 miles north of Waynesboro on U.S. Hwy. 25.
