Noncommissioned Officer of the Quarter Staff Sgt. Paul Gomez The Noncommissioned Officer of the 2nd Quarter for fiscal year 2010 is Staff Sgt. Paul Gomez, who is assigned to Headquarters and A Company 73rd Ordnance Battalion as an air traffic control equipment repairer. Gomez is always volunteering to take on tough tasks which lead to excellent results. He leads from the front with his professionalism and military bearing which is beyond reproach. Service Member of the Quarter Spc. Ryan Wheeler
The Service Member of the 2nd Quarter for Fiscal Year 2010 is Spc. Ryan Wheeler, who is assigned to the Regimental Noncommissioned Officer Academy as a human resource specialist. He is exceptionally motivated and takes any opportunity to take military courses for constant improvement. Wheeler goes above and beyond his duties, setting a good example for his peers. He is driven to improve every aspect of his career and has incredible leadership ability.
Instructor of the Quarter Staff Sgt. Daszmar Lockhart The Instructor of the 2nd Quarter for Fiscal Year 2010 is Staff Sgt. Daszmar Lockhart, who is assigned to Headquarters and A Company, 442nd Signal Battalion as an instructor/ writer. He constantly scrutinizes the curriculum to find new and creative ways to teach effectively. He has successfully trained over 1,250 students in various Microsoft Office programs. Lockhart is the sports director and part of the flag football and basketball teams that went to the installation championship games.
Civilian of the Quarter Lenore D. Sewell The Civilian of the 2nd Quarter for Fiscal Year 2010 is Lenore Sewell, who is assigned to the 442nd Signal Battalion as a human resource assistant. Sewell performs outstandingly and provides exceptional support to a battalion with more than 3,000 students and faculty assigned annually. She is a one-of-a-kind employee who enables the battalion to provide quality leadership education to the Signal Regiment. She also performs a myriad of additional duties with distinction including Battalion Legal Representative, Government Travel Card Program Coordinator, Alternate Organizational Defense Travel Administrator, Command Inspection Program coordinator, and Promotion Board representative.
Volunteer of the Quarter Roger Byers The Volunteer of the 2nd Quarter for Fiscal Year 2010 is Roger Byers who volunteers with the American Red Cross. Byers volunteers without hesitation during evenings and holidays and is willing to come in on weekend during staff shortages. He is self-motivated and has a high degree of dedication which is inexhaustible when it comes to accomplishing all duties. Byers volunteers in three areas and has a professional attitude in all of them. He is a trained and certified X-ray technician that increases clinic numbers and cuts down on patients’ wait times. He willingly takes on any size of jobs, considering none of them as menial.
